Remembered By Dust: Chapter 1 — The Big Breath

Last week, I shared the preface of my new hybrid novel, Remembered by Dust. Part memoir, part myth, part midrash — it’s the story of how each of us, as individuals, travels through the cycles of the universe.
If you choose to join me on this journey, you’ll start to notice a pattern. Each chapter opens with an invocation drawn from a cross-section of world and interdisciplinary traditions, leading into my reinterpretation of a story from the Judeo-Christian Bible. The second half of each chapter is Dust’s testimony. As a speck of stardust born at creation, they’ve been around a while — as have we. Only, Dust retains consciousness throughout spacetime, offering color commentary on what it means to exist, to remember, and to become.
This week, we start at the beginning — with creation itself: a stirring, a whisper, a beat, and a glow. I’m so excited to share this part of the journey with you. I hope it moves you — and I’d love to hear what you think.

Hello, indeed! Thank you for joining me for Chapter 1 — Big Breath. Over the next 38 Fridays, I’ll keep building from here — claiming my place in the universe, and the universe’s place within me.
Next week, we explore Eden in Chapter 2 — The Knowing.
